Where is Somerleyton Meadows located?

Somerleyton Meadows is located in the peaceful countryside near Somerleyton, on the Suffolk–Norfolk border, overlooking the Waveney Valley. We’re perfectly placed for exploring the Norfolk Broads, Suffolk coast, Somerleyton Hall, and nearby seaside towns like Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Southwold.

Are pets allowed at Somerleyton Meadows?

To maintain the comfort and cleanliness of the accommodation, pets are not normally permitted unless agreed in advance. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What accommodation is available at Somerleyton Meadows?

We offer a luxury shepherd’s hut with private hot tub

(The Hideaway Hut) and boutique bed-and-breakfast accommodation in The Somerley Suite. For special occasions, the property can also be booked for exclusive-use self-catering stays for up to 10 guests.

Is breakfast included with my stay?

Guests staying in The Somerley Suite or Hideaway Hut enjoy a continental breakfast served each morning.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is ample, free on-site parking for guests staying

at Somerleyton Meadows.

Is Somerleyton Meadows close to public transport?

Yes, Somerleyton railway station is within walking distance, with connections to Lowestoft, Norwich, and the wider region, making it easy to visit without a car.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is typically from 3:00pm, allowing us time to prepare your accommodation to a high standard.
Check-out is by 10:00am on the day of departure.

If you need different times, please contact us in advance , we’ll always try to help where possible.

Do I need to pay a deposit when booking?

For Somerley Suite and Hideway Hut bookings, full payment is required at the time of booking along with a £100 refundable damage deposit. For Somerley House bookings, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid no later than 30 days before check-in along with a £500 refundable damage deposit.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations by you must be notified to us immediately via Email.

Cancellations will be dealt with as follows: 

 

Cancellations notified to us more than 30 days before the start of your booking/ arrival - you will receive a refund equal to 50% of your total booking cost minus a processing fee.

 

Cancellations notified to us with less than 30 days before the start of your booking - you will be liable for the full cost of the booking. 

 

No Show - Non-refundable.

Can additional guests visit during our stay?

If you are planning to have additional day visitors that are not named on your guest register, permission must be sought in advance and in writing from us. This is for both insurance and security purposes. Visitors are not permitted to stay overnight. Visitors must be off-site by no later than 9pm.
